We had a memorable Christmas with almost everyone here. Daren and Marlene spent most of the week with us. We enjoyed playing with our sweet little Emma. She is growing up so quickly and has such a cute little personality. Her smiles and giggles brighten the room. Rod and Steph spent a lot of time here so that the two little girls could play. They were very cute together, jabbering in their own language, sharing and playing. Maya walking everywhere and Emma crawling behind. Maya would even stop and go back if Emma got too far behind. We just could never get too much of those two. Reed was also here as much as possible. He is the cutest uncle ever. The two girls adore him and he is so sweet with them. All that was missing was Scott. We even got to include him through Skype on Christmas Day. That is the next best thing to him being here. Both sets of grandparents and Taylor joined us for his call. It doesn’t get much better than that. (I wish I would remember to take a picture of his face on the computer screen).
We had the family party on Monday since Reed was working on Christmas Eve. Dinner, games, and pj’s are the tradition. This year we played The Great Dalmudi including funny hats. It was a fun time for young and old except Emma.
Christmas Eve was a quiet affair. Doug read me the Christmas Story as we were going to bed. It was a sweet new tradition to have just the two of us.
Santa was good to all of us. Grandpa got a new rocking horse that the girls couldn’t leave alone. Grandma got a play kitchen. They liked scattering all of the food. I think that toy will get better with age.
A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS
